While working with a Boy Scout troop a frustration was in evidence often when the scouts would undertake an Eagle project. A troop build project was an idea that was organically reached to hopefully address the situation. A Skiff kit was purchased and over 2 years ( about 18 Saturdays) a rowing/sailing skiff was the result. I often mentioned to the scouts and anyone within reach that this was done by youth between 12 and 17. To complete the boat the scouts employed and/or learned how to use a number of tools.
